Born underneath the canopy of the Skatay Range, Ymil navigated his adolescence with caution and a sensitive heart. His childhood friends would recall his affinity for restorative magicks and how often he stood in the shadow of his twin sister. When he came of age, he dutifully followed in the footsteps of the local Wood-warders, and learned the tried-and-true ways of protecting and providing for his home.As the decades passed him by, Ymil found himself unfulfilled by the mundanity of his role, instead longing to travel the world and pursue his love of healing. When his sister approached him at her wit’s end, feeling crushed by the weight of the societal expectations of their fellow Viera, they found solidarity in one another and sought to set out into the wider world.Now, Ymil roams the world freely, following naught but his own whim and the satisfaction of his many curiosities.
Ymil will entertain a conversation with anyone who crosses his path, and isn't too shy to approach someone who piques his interest. As a Viera, his looks betray his age, and his sheltered upbringing gives him the naivete and wonder that a young twenty-something might have. When he isn't taking in his surroundings, he can often be found with his nose buried in a tome. Being so new to the wider world has him very eager to try new things and dive head-first into new experiences, for better or for worse. When caught off-guard, he can be easily flustered. Any looking-glass he passes is subject to witness some measure of primping.

Wanderer - Ymil takes pride in his freshly-unfettered free spirit, and wanders the world with nearly reckless abandon. Any location accessible by ferry or airship as of the end of Stormblood is open to him, and it's anyone's guess as to where he might be on a given day. (Eventually he'll be open to Thavnair, too, but I've not gotten him through Endwalker yet.)
Curiosity - Being mostly new to the world at large, Ymil knows little outside of his prior way of life as a Wood-warder. His inquisitive nature coupled with his lack of modesty often lead him to strike conversation with passing strangers. He also enjoys people-watching and taking in his surroundings with a sense of utmost wonder—if you feel like you've caught a pair of big, burgundy eyes gazing at you for a bit too long, they just might be his.
Multilingual - Ymil speaks common, Viera, and bits of Hannish and old Auri. If he hears you speaking in any foreign language, he may be curious enough to ask about it.
Bookworm - If Ymil notices you with a tome in hand, he would love to know what you're reading.
A Fellow Viera - Anyone hailing from the Skatay Range might find Ymil's features and accent familiar. He thinks it's exciting to meet other Viera who live in the wider world.
Fashion-Forward - Ymil is an avid appreciator of aesthetic beauty, and loves following the latest worldwide fashion trends. If he appreciates the sight of your outfit or your overall look, he won't hesitate to draw near and say so.
Astrology - Since coming across an old, tattered deck of astromancy cards decades ago, Ymil has always been fascinated with the practice. Someone wearing an astrologian's arm or fiddling with their tarot cards out in the open is like to catch his eye.
